Mission Statement

MISSION

The mission of Dodge Brothaz is to provide our community with the opportunity of learning the sport of car collections and the developmental modifications throughout the past and future eras. We shall endeavor by our actions and deeds to promote a good relationship with our community. Supporting our communities growth, to promote diversity and innovative ideas in our surrounding neighborhoods for our youth, to build a safe desirable environment for years to come. We are a boisterous family of driven Values, Respect, and Dignity. Dodge is built strong and coming from a strong foundation like Dodge, we collaborate together to form a fully loaded union of dependable fun.

BYLAWS

1. PURPOSE:
(a) To promote the sport and hobby of owning, altering, building, and modifying Dodge vehicles from 1970-79 and 2009-Present.
(b) To encourage family participation in such sport and hobby.
(c) To promote friendship, help fellow clubs and organizations by attending their functions, supporting our local communities and charities, as well as and to educate the public concerning the history, legend, repair, building and modifying the Dodge vehicles of both past and present years.

2. OFFICERS and DIRECTORS:
(a) There shall be one (1) or more Directors, each of whom shall also be a voting member and shall collectively be referred to as the Board of Directors.
(b) All Officers shall be elected by a majority of the members present at any annual meeting or at any special meeting called for that purpose, and such election shall be certified by the Directors.
(c) The Officers shall consist of the following: President; Vice President; Sergeant-at-Arms; Treasurer; and Secretary.

3. OFFICERS' RESPONSIBILITY:
(a) PRESIDENT: The President will preside over all meetings called for and shall act as an ambassador to any functions or activities held by the club or by any other club in which the President is asked to attend. The President will seek ways to help build membership, create ideas and help promote and maintain interest by and for its members. The President shall meet at least once a quarter with the remaining Officers.
(b) VICE PRESIDENT: The Vice President shall preside over all meetings called for if the President is unable to attend. The Vice President, too, shall act as ambassador to any functions the President cannot attend. The Vice President shall also be in charge of all chair committees and report to the President as needed. The Vice President shall further be responsible for keeping and updating the membership roster. The Vice President shall also be responsible for instructing the Sergeant-at-Arms to collect any fines or past club dues from the members or other such monies as are necessary and in the best interest of the club.
(d) SERGEANT-AT-ARMS: The Sergeant-at-Arms shall be responsible for keeping and maintaining order at all club meetings and events. The Sergeant-at-Arms shall also be responsible for collecting club dues, for collecting monies for club apparel and for the collecting of all fines levied by the Officers of the club. The Sergeant-at-Arms shall work with the Vice President in keeping the dues roster current.
(c) TREASURER: The Treasurer shall be responsible for all monies received and disbursed by the club, including keeping a record of who has and has not paid club dues, if any. The Treasurer must keep a complete account of all such matters by way of a ledger, and when called upon, present such matters to the club, and for the annual audit which will be conducted yearly, and for appraising the incoming Treasurer Elect of all accounting matters and the proper transfer of the club's accounting records. The audit committee shall consist of the outgoing Treasurer, the Treasurer Elect, and two (2) club members appointed by the President.
(e) SECRETARY: The Secretary shall be responsible for the minutes for all meetings called for, for roll call, and handling all correspondence brought forth by the club and its members, and shall keep the President aware of any and all incoming correspondence that should be brought to the attention of club members. The Secretary may, however, designate any person to keep the minutes for any meeting.

4. HOLDING OFFICE:
(a) Anyone wanting to hold office of the club may do so by being duly nominated and elected by its members, during the annual election of club officers, and must have been a member of the club, in good standing, for at least four (4) consecutive months prior to any election. If a member is unable to complete his/her term of office for any reason, a member may be appointed to fill the remainder of the term of office by the remaining officers or by the members upon a call of a special meeting.
(b) Offices shall be held for a term of one (1) year or until their successors are elected and qualified.

5. MEMBERSHIP:
(a) Any person, 21 years or older, shall be eligible for membership to the club.
(b). An applicant must have a Dodge vehicle 1970-79 or 2009- Present in order to become a regular member of the club. An non-voting associate member title shall be created for those persons wanting to join the club but who do not own a Dodge or for those members already in the club who no longer have a Dodge.
(c) An application of any person for membership must be voted on by the members present at a club meeting or upon a recommendation from the Officers or Directors.
(d) A membership is singular in nature and consists of one member over the age of 21 years.
(e) Prospect MUST sign up for roadside assistance benefits with MCA(Motor Club of America) prior to vote.
(f). A prospective member is encouraged, but not required, to attend at least one meeting or club event prior to their being voted upon by the membership for membership in the club. Following their introduction and presentation to club members, the members present at the next meeting shall vote to accept or reject the prospective member's application. If accepted, the prospective member shall be considered a member of the club. If rejected by a majority of the members present, the prospective member will be notified at that time, or by written or electronic notice.
(g) Prior to being considered for membership, a prospective member shall complete an application for membership and submit said application to the club for approval.
(h) A prospective member shall not order or receive club apparel until their membership has been accepted by a vote of the members.
(i) Any club member who leaves the club, for any reason, may be asked by the club to return any club apparel, and they will be reimbursed by the club for the expense, if asked to do so.
(j) A prospective member shall not be present during the meeting at the time their application is voted upon. Voting shall be by secret written ballot, indicating YES or NO, for acceptance into the club. Membership acceptance will be by a majority of club members. Ballots shall be destroyed after voting.

6. MEMBER RESPONSIBILITY:
(a) Each member will be expected to promote and to take part in a good share of club meetings, activities and functions brought forth.
(1) Any member who has not attended at least one (1) club event within a consecutive three (3) month period shall be placed on "inactive" status. A club member who is inactive loses the right to vote on club matters as well as the right to be further updated on club matters.
(2) A member on inactive status shall be required to attend at least (2) club events within a consecutive six (6) month period in order to have their voting rights in club matters restored as well as the right to receive news and announcements from the club.
(b) Members must operate vehicles in such a manner that it will not cause embarrassment to the club, its officers, or its members. If such a case arises, the offending member may be fined or removed from the club.
(c) All members who drive while involved in club functions or are traveling with the club while going to or from a club function, shall abide by the laws of the road when representing the club.
(d) Any member while driving and representing the club, shall possess a valid driver's license.

7. MEMBERSHIP DUES:
(a) Membership fees are as followed; $100 initial fee.
(1)Includes club T-Shirt and Pendant.
(b) $50 annual Fee

8. MEETINGS:
(a) Presently, there are no regular meetings of the club, except at events the club plans on attending; however, the club reserves the right to amend this section upon a majority vote of the members.
(b) The annual meeting of the members, for the election of Officers, shall be held on the third Sunday of January each year.
(1) A special meeting of the members may be called at any time upon ten (10) days written or electronic notice to the members, at either the direction of the President, the Board of Directors or upon a request of two-thirds (66%) of the members.
(2) A quorum of the members shall consist of those members present at any annual, regular or special meeting.
(c) The annual meeting of the Directors shall be held immediately following the close of the members' annual meeting.
(1) A special meeting of the Directors may be called at any time upon ten (10) days written or electronic notice to the Directors, or at the direction of a majority of the Directors.
(2) A quorum of the Directors shall consist of a majority of the Directors.

9. VOTING:
(a) Voting on all issues at any club meeting shall be by majority vote.

10. OTHER FUNCTIONS AND ACTIVITIES:
(a) If the club is invited or asked to participate in another club's function, the club shall try, to the best of its ability, to have at least one of its members attend.
(b) When in attendance at such functions or activities, all members are required to represent our organization with respect and in such a manner so as not to embarrass yourself or any other member or members.

11. CHANGES TO BYLAWS:
(a) These Bylaws may only be changed at the annual meeting or at any special meeting called and properly noticed for that purpose.
